Abstract

The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic led to the loss of many jobs and also impacted businesses globally. It also brought a major change in the focus on how education can be delivered and managed. With education being a major tool for socio-economic development, tertiary institution management is now faced with the challenge of postulating educational reforms that can lead to job creation and sustainable economic development. This paper highlighted the challenges and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the management of Nigerian tertiary institutions and strategies for management of tertiary institutions to improve job creation during the COVID-19 pandemic and implications for sustainable development.
